If you use Preservely without creating an account, the pantry items you add are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers.
Creating an account is optional and is not required to purchase or use Preservely Pro. If you do create one, we store your name, email address, and pantry items (including item names, categories, quantities, and dates) on our servers so your pantry stays in sync across your devices.
When you use AI-powered features — including recipe suggestions, item storage tips, expiration date estimates, or barcode category detection — relevant item details (such as item name, category, and dates) are sent to our AI service to generate results. This data is used only to produce your results and is not used to train AI models or shared with advertisers.
Pantry data for accounts is stored on our servers for as long as your account is active, so it can stay in sync across your devices. Data stored only on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app.
You can delete your account and everything stored with it at any time from inside the app: open Settings and tap Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your account, pantry items, saved recipes and sync history are erased from our servers. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke Preservely's access to your Apple ID; where that isn't possible the app shows you how to remove it yourself. Preservely is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
